UPPER WEST SIDE: New York, NY
Occupying the parlor level of a Manhattan townhouse with views of Riverside Park, this small apartment was completely renovated, removing interior walls, fixtures and decades of paint. Consolidating several programmatic requirements in minimal space, a sleeping loft was designed to overlook a galley kitchen with the bath and dressing tucked below. The structure, with it's figural round window, becomes an object centered within the frame of the original interior architectural woodwork, presenting a formal facade to the living area beyond.
